Cashew nut apple



One of my friends shared this recipe, looking at this image made me to recall my school days, this sweet use to be sold in  the sweet stalls.It is used to be in different colors.I was amazed to see that it follows simple steps to cook with ready ingredients at home.

This recipe is  specially for  kids,they  may enjoy eating it even if they hate to eat raw cashew nuts.

   Ingredients:
  • 2 cup cashewnut powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 drops Red food color
  • 1 1/2 tsp ghee
  • 14-15 cloves

         Method:
  1.  Add sugar  to the water and  boil it.
  2. Once its boiled, add cashewnut powder stir well keeping the flame at medium till the mixture becomes smooth paste. 
  3. Add 1 tsp ghee to the paste and switch off the flame.
  4. Take a plate , grease it with  1/2 tsp ghee and transfer the paste into a plate.
  5. Now  make small balls , use finger to make a hole and give it a apple shape.
  6. Insert clove upside down(like a apple stick).
  7. Use food brush to color the ball, make stripes on it to get apple-like texture.
